One night at Rimwood Farm... thanks to the APEC long weekend
I collected the girls early from school yesterday (as there was no school today), and we drove out to Little Hartley to stay at 'the farm' for one night. Andrew and I both have events to go to tomorrow, so it was just a short holiday. The scenery is so beautiful that I took lots of photos.

It rained on and off, but Boris loved the wide open spaces, and the hidden treasures that a farm offers.Boris with a piece of bone he dug up.
I discovered that television viewing included 'the Lifestyle channel' (pay TV - a luxury we do not have at home), and I watched numerous shows today. 2 x Better Homes and Gardens, Chelsea Flower Show 2007, 2 x Grand Designs, and a dreadful show called Pushy Parents.
We actually watch Grand Designs every week on the ABC, and really enjoy it. It is presented by Kevin McCloud, who Andrew thinks it quite pretentious, but I like his commentary and insights. If you enjoy watching new houses being built, or very old ones being remodelled, this is the show for you. The houses are very grand.
Presented by design expert Kevin McCloud, Grand Designs charts the in-depth process of ambitious design projects, from the initial detail of blueprints, to the long and often arduous task of turning the designs into a practical living space. One of the leading lights in the field of design, Kevin McCloud is the writer as well as the presenter of Grand Designs. Having trained in both architecture and design, he has earned quite a reputation for his ability to give upscale properties a complete makeover. The series sees Kevin accompanying self-builders on their journey to create their dream home, as he offers advice, guidance and often a sympathetic ear as budgets and schedules inevitably run over. Discover how ambitious design concepts work out in practice; follow the progress of houses with unforeseen complications and no stretch in budget; and chart the changes and compromises in the design detail that ensue along the way.
