New Vocab
Just updating those who are over the age of 20...

This is how a conversation went in my class this week:

Student: Mrs P, can you check my story please?
Me: Yes, mmmmm... very good, but you have a spelling error here. What is this word? (pointing to something unintelligible spelt PWN)
Student: No, it is spelt correctly.
Me: No, all words need a vowel in them.
Student: They do?
Me: Yes.
(Various conversations reciting spelling rules occur in the background.)
Student: But it is spelt correctly.
Me: What???? How do you say it?
Student: pone
Me: You are kidding! (Gesturing to others nearby hoping for some backup.) What does this word say everyone?
Students (10 or so in chorus): PONE

Confused? I was.
Well here it is:
PWN (verb) 1. An act of dominating an opponent. 2. Great, ingenious; applied to methods and objects.
You can learn more here. And there is a popular (IE. all the class knew of it) clip explaining its use here.

That brings us to the word noob...
