Change

Change can happen suddenly in the garden.
It is almost as if plants grow and bloom before while you watch.

Two weeks ago I took the photo below.

This week I was shocked to see the change.

I am super happy with this echium.
I found it on a bargain table at a local nursery in very poor condition.
With a little TLC, it has bounced back beautifully.

That is beautiful. Here in the northeastern part of the U.S. the fall foliage is at its peak. Winter is around the corner for us. The flowers are all turning brown...but we remember that really they are forming seeds that will germinate in the spring.
