Today I created some more fabric on Spoonflower.
I have ordered a fat quarter of each.

I must enter one of their competitions at some stage.
I vote each time one is held, but have never had the time or energy to enter.

A Misnomer

I used to have 4 chooks.
Now there is only 3.
Very sad... and I blame myself. And of course the brainless bird who ran underneath my foot.
And here is how her (Lucy or Sam???) demise came about:

She ran at me as I carried the food scraps out, and I accidentally stepped on her feet.
Her feet became swollen. She could not perch any more. She became listless, her comb drooped, she tipped over with the slightest touch.
Eventually, one morning, she was found lifeless.
I was very sad.
I had prayed for that bird, coaxed it to eat, worried over it each morning (was she still alive?) and each evening (did she make it back to the cage, or do I have to search for her?).

By I can't change my blog address now.
I'll just have to get another chook.

Old Slides

My mum was going to throw out all her old slides. And there were a lot of them.

I once saw a DIY project were someone made a curtain from old slides, and it looked spectacular, so I thought I needed to do something with Mum's stash.

I used PVA glue to attach (some of) them to two canvases. I then attached a string of fairy lights behind.

At night time the display is quite pretty.

I can finally...

put some more photos up.

After accidentally putting my camera through a wash cycle, and therefore destroying it, I received a new one today for Christmas.

I thought I would start by posting some photos of our new dog Rocket.
He is adorable.
He loves attention (doesn't everybody!).
He makes it his business to disturb anyone who is trying to watch television.

After a while it is not such an adorable trait.
So, now that I have a new camera I will be able to post lots of photos of the house, and Christmas, and the holidays...
